* * * FAQ * * *
(Q) - WHAT HAPPENED? WHY ARE YOU OFF THE AIR?!?!?!

(A) - For economic reasons, Life-Changing Radio has been forced to release a number of their staff. As a result, I was "downsized" and am no longer employed as an on-air announcer at WFIF. Therefore, I cannot continue the Morning Light program on the station.

You can listen to the INTERVIEW with my Boss, HERE.

You can listen to the FINAL FAREWELL program, HERE.
(This is a wonderful VICTORY program!!)

(Q) - Is Morning Light gone FOREVER?

(A) - No. Although it will NOT be returning to WFIF in the forseeable future, I sincerely believe with ALL OF MY BEING, that GOD will be raising-up a 24 hour FM station to fill the starving airwaves of Southern New England with CHRIST-CENTERED MUSIC! For more information about this vision, please CLICK HERE!

(Q) - What is this NEW STATION you mentioned, and will Morning Light return there?

(A) - YES!!! Not only will Morning Light return at 6am from Mon-Fri, but it will be there YEAR ROUND! No more sign-off in winter, and no more interference! The music will be in High-Quality STEREO, and will play all day and all night long! After 7am, there will be traffic updates, too!

(Q) - WHEN will this happen??

(A) - This I do not know... but in my spirit, I believe that it will be SOON! PLEASE KEEP PRAYING FOR "WPHA" - that will be the name of the NEW STATION!

(Q) - HOW and WHERE?

(A) - I do not know. This is completely in the hands of the LORD. :) What I DO know is that the Fairfield and New Haven Counties of Connecticut are the area to which GOD has CALLED me to minister through radio. When that station goes on the air, I am also believing God for the resources to do a large-scale advertising campaign to let everyone know that it is there.
(I will also mention WFIF in this ad campaign as a token of my SINCERE APPRECIATION to them for all the 20 YEARS of ministry that they have allowed me to share during my employment with them!)

(Q) - What can I (my Church) do to help?

(A) - PRAY! PRAY! PRAY! There is no question that there is a TREMENDOUS NEED in this area for a 24 hour Inspirational Christian MUSIC station! WPHA will be that station, and it will happen in GOD's time, and with YOUR prayers!

(Q) - Where can I get more information?

(A) - You can visit the WPHA WEBSITE, and you can also write to me: morning1500@aol.com with any questions not covered by this FAQ. If enough people ask similar questions, then I will add them, here.

(Q) - Losing a job after 20 years is quite a major shock! How are you handling this, personally?

(A) - I have ABSOLUTELY NO BITTERNESS OR ANGER toward WFIF or the parent company, Life-Changing Radio. On the contrary! I know in my heart that this is a Sovereign move of GOD. With all of my heart, I sincerely PRAY that GOD will continue to BLESS Life-Changing Radio, and allow them to PROSPER! Their ministy is SOOO DESPERATELY NEEDED in this area! This is why I GLADLY SACRIFICE my job, in order to see WFIF continue presenting to you the BEST Christian talk and teaching ministries available! PLEASE DO NOT BE ANGRY AT WFIF! PLEASE continue to SUPPORT the ministry programs that thay carry! THIS IS VITAL!!!

If WFIF were to go off the air, I would be ABSOLUTELY HEARTBROKEN! <:'(

(Q) - Is THIS why Morning Light was pre-recorded for its last 3 months?

(A) - Yes. I received the news of my "downsizing" on May 24'th. (I was given specific instructions to say nothing about it on the air or on this WEBsite until the very end of August.) I decided it best to go completely off the live microphone at that point, and begin using previous shows. I also pre-recorded a few new shows along the way. I figured this would "lessen the shock" of the news that the program was going completely away. It was a difficult decision, but I believe it was the best one.

(Q) - What are you doing, now?

(A) - For the first few weeks, I just DECOMPRESSED! :) A little R & R is good for the soul. ;) I served WFIF as their Engineer until the end of 2007. In mid-November, the Lord opened a door for me to work for an Electronics company. I am no longer directly involved with WFIF at all, and I truly do miss it! :(

I know that my present job is a Godsend, and I rejoice in that. Although I do like it, it's just not the same as Christian radio. I eagerly await the day God opens the door for WPHA! \o/

(Q) - How can we best pray for you and for Morning Light?

(A) - Please continue to PRAY that God will bless WFIF! Also pray that God will continue to work in me, to prepare this vessel for HIS Service! Pray that I will be READY when God raises-up WPHA! :) Also, please be sure to bookmark this site! I will post NEWS below, as it happens! I will also update this FAQ as necessary.

(Q) - I sent a gift... what will happen to those funds, now?

(A) - They will pay down any remaining debt. If the Lord speaks to your heart about helping to pay-down some of the debt, it would be so much appreciated! :)

Morning Light NEWS:

News & Notes
09/01/2007 There has been good response from listeners, and I am very encouraged. :)

2/4/2008 There are some ongoing discussions among local Christian businessmen regarding bringing a 24 hour Christian MUSIC station to this area! I am now in contact with members of this group! Your prayers are so very necessary right now! Thank you! :)

3/4/2008 On Thursday, March 6'th, I met with one of the local Christian businessmen specifically to discuss WPHA! In the weeks that followed, I learned a lot more about what stations in this area actually cost. It is staggering! Please continue to PRAY! It is an absolutely HUGE undertaking. It will take at least TEN Million dollars to buy just a MODEST FM station in this area. GOD and ONLY GOD can do this! This is why so much prayer is needed. \o/

There are several ways in which you may contact us to share a word of testimony, gift, etc.

  • Most evenings, I am logged on to AOL with the screen name MORNING1500. (I am still using it! 3/4/2008) You can use the Instant Message feature to contact me directly. To make it even easier, just add MORNING1500 to your "Buddy List". I always enjoy the opportunity to "CHAT" with God's people! Please feel free to page me ANYTIME you see MORNING1500 logged on! I am also an active member of the Christian Personal Networking site, SHOUTLIFE.COM! Visit my personal page there, and read my blogs, too! :)

Morning Light was a listener-Supported ministry of New Life Christian Fellowship,
which is affiliated with the Assemblies of God.
    Rev. D.J. Evans, Senior Pastor.

New Life Christian Fellowship is my home Church. They have nothing to do with the site, it's content, or the radio program. They merely provided the "front office" to handle the donations, which were paid (100%) directly to WFIF, itself, for the support of the "Morning Light" radio program. This entire WEBsite is a labor of love. There are no "subscribers" and I receive absolutely zero funding from or for this WEBsite. I pay for this WEBspace out of my own pocket. :)

    Yours in Christ, Willie...
