JUNQUE page!
Yep, that's me, HAMMING it up! ;)

Pics of my JUNQUE & JUNK!

NOTE: Minimum browser window recommended is 800x600!

It is TIME... I **MUST** get rid of AT LEAST 80% of this!

Looking from stairs,
toward north & west walls.
This was in 2003!

My workbench is on the right.

Same view, in April 2010!

You can plainly see that in the past 7 years, IT HAS GOTTEN WORSE!!!
(Can you say "Explosion in a wire factory?")
That's why I am at the point where I HAVE TO get rid of MOST of this JUNK!
(Note: The O'scope, Ham station, parts bins etc. are NOT JUNK!)

Looking from stairs at west wall & south.
This was 2003

On the wall, near the top, is a shelf full of MORE JUNQUE!
It runs most of the length of the west wall, into the small
alcove, where I have a computer that I use for dubbing vinyl to WAV files.
Yes, there is a PATH through all of this! ;)

Same view, April 2010

Once again... you can plainly see that the problem has only gotten WORSE! :(
Note the "PEG BOARD" below the shelf... BABY STEPS! ;)

Same view in Oct 2010, 50% CLEANED UP!
Half way done cleaning up!

Well, well!! PROGRESS! This is about halfway through this massive clean-up project!
Brand new benches have been installed, and a LOT of junk has been taken to the
recycling center! I took this pic on 10/25/10. I started the cleanup in mid
September, and have been working on it at least 2 or 3 days a week, when able.
To say that I am pleased with the progress would be an UNDERSTATEMENT! :)
It is a LOT of work, that's for sure! A lot has been done, but a lot more remains.

Area behind workbench, March 2010.
Looking toward the alcove, where the vinyl-to-WAV studio hides.

Area behind workbench, Nov 13, 2010.
SAME VIEW, after cleanup! :)

Vinyl-to-WAV dubbing studio, 2003.

(This area has only changed slightly between 2003 & 2010, so I didn't bother to take a new picture.)

Vineyl-to-WAV studio, Nov 2010

Here is the studio, after cleaning and remodeling in Nov 2010.

Workbench, 2003

Hanging on both sides of the window, are my "Wireless Speakers". They were
obtained at a dirt-cheap price, when somebody finally beat "The Wiz".

Workbench, April 2010

Yep. It was worse. The speakers are relocated, and a LOT MORE stuff added.
With all these wires, it looks like an explosion in a mattress factory! ;)
I added some "peg board" behind the workbench to hold important tools.

Workbench, Oct 2010!
NEW Workbench, Oct 2010

NOW look! :) This is after a LOT of JUNK was taken to the recycling center,
and a new bench (with home made riser) was installed! What a transformation!
The project is only about 50% complete, but I am so pleased with the progress thus far!

MORE JUNQUE in STORAGE, 2003!

BUT WAIT, THERE's MORE!!!! Yep, here's MORE JUNQUE in the storage
area of the basement! You can see the window at right.

Same view of STORAGE in April, 2010

YES, those two air conditioners STILL WORK!!! Want them?? Make an offer. :)
You can clearly see that there is a SIGNIFICANT amount of stuff
that has been UNMOVED in SEVEN YEARS! Thus, my decision to JUNK IT!!!
I will be tackling the cleanup of this area, next.
It is LAST, because it is the STORAGE area. ;)

MORE JUNQUE & JUNK!!

Looking toward my oil tank. Yup. There's a LOT here, folks!

My own private parts wall!

Various parts, accumulated over the years. Why run to Radio Shack, when you
have one of your own, right in the basement?! ;) The, uh... "Overhead" is
REALLY LOW! (I have to bend down or squat so I don't bust my head on the beams!)
This area hasn't changed much at all in 7 years. Sigh. I may have taken 4 or 5
parts down in all that time. I now have new pegboard and pegs to re-do this wall.
This will be part of PHASE THREE of the major cleanup!

My computer desk & JUNK, April 2010!

This was the desk I sat at while on the computer in April...
ENGULFED by JUNK!

The SAME DESK area in Oct, 2010

This is the SAME DESK, but AFTER I cleaned up! PROGRESS!!!
There is still more cleanup to go, but this is HUGE! :)
I can now COMFORTABLY fit 3 people in here! :) After I finish
the basement, I will return to this area, and finish it, too.

Seriously, folks... I am FINALLY going through this stuff,
and have tossed about 40% of it so far! (Oct 2010)
Much of it really isn't worth me keeping it any longer. I have TRIED to
sell it, with few takers... so, the local e-waste recycler is getting most of it.
Only the things that are actually still USEFUL or VALUABLE will stay. :)
